Coconut Crab

• Coconut crab is one of the species of hermit crab it is also known as robber crab and it is the largest land living Arthropod in the world.

• The weight of the Coconut crab up to 4.1 kg and it can grow up to 1 meter in length from leg to leg.

 

• This species found in Iceland of Indian Ocean and part of the Pacific Ocean the main land of the crab is Australia and Madagascar.

• The coconut crab cannot swim and they have developed acute sense of smell which they use to find the potential food sources.
