Don't allow strangers into your house.

Maintain a friendly relationship with neighbours.

Fix a peep hole or a magic eye as well as a door link on your main door.

Generally don't allow LPG cylinder delivery boys, milk suppliers and sales representatives into your house.

Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters and other labourers should not be allowed inside the house when women are alone.

Collect family details and photographs of drivers and domestic helpers.

Avoid keeping huge cash or jewels at home.

Keep jewels in bank lockers.

Don't go alone while depositing or withdrawing heavy cash from the bank. Take a trustworthy person along.

Don't fall prey to fraudsters who would try to divert your attention and rob you while carrying heavy cash to or from the bank.

Avoid conversion with strangers at public places.

Don't reveal any family details to strangers.

Never put your signature on blank papers or stamp papers even if a known person asks you.

Always demand to see and verify a photo Identification Card of any Government staff who come for enumeration, Income Tax raids etc.

Beware of fraudsters who come home posing as jewelry polishers, scrap dealers or astrologers.

Elderly women should be cautions with tricksters who advice you to pack jewels in a paper on the guise of saving your property from criminals nearby.

Bolt the door properly from inside when women or old people are alone at home.

Never invite persons who just developed friendship with you in a public place to your home.

Avoid speaking loudly during telephone conversation as there is a possibility of anti social elements listening to it.

Note down the telephone numbers of your local Police Station, Fire and Ambulance services.

Avoid discussing family issues, money matters and your travel plans to your domestic helpers.
