Wake Up! It's Just A Dream!


          During sleep the involuntarily occurrence of successive emotions, ideas, images and sensations in the mind are know as Dreams. Dreams occur during a stage know as the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage of sleep. The absolute activity of the brain is high during this stage of sleep and is approximately equal to that of being awake. Sometimes dreams may also occur during other stages of sleep but these dreams are rather vivid or harder to remember.

  • We forget 90% of the dream the moment we wake up.
  • We don't see new faces in our dreams, we see only those that we already know; they are no strangers.
  • Men have reported to have more instances of dreams with aggression than women do.
  • Women dream longer and featuring more characters.
  • Men dream as twice as more about other men than about women, whereas women dream about other men and women equally.
  • Hormonal changes during pregnancy increases both the number of dreams and the ability to recall them.
