  • India captain MS Dhoni was ruled out of the Asia Cup to be held in Bangladesh, following a Grade I left side-strain injury sustained during the second Test against New Zealand, the BCCI said on Thursday.
  • Virat Kohli will lead the world champions while Dinesh Karthik, who fetched a staggering Rs 12.5 crore from Delhi in the recent Indian T20 League auction replaced Dhoni as the wicket-keeper.
The Indian captain will undergo rehabilitation for 10 days.
  • Dhoni had drawn a lot of criticism from former India captains for his defensive tactics, with Sourav Ganguly even branding his leadership obnoxious.
