ROBOT SPERM
- Scientists have made the world’s first robotic sperm.
- They Create Mechanical Swimmers Controlled By Magnetic Fields.
- The tiny cyborg swimmers are controlled using magnetic fields, and
could have a range of interesting uses if the tech is perfected.
- The hope is that using the robots – which are just 50 microns long,
and 5-8 microns in diameter – scientists might be able to fertilise eggs
with individual sperm cells – or send drugs to targeted areas, by
remote control.
